When Phoenix tied the game with seconds remaining, the Lakers knew who to give the ball to.
Kobe Bryant splashed a 17-foot jumper with 2.7 seconds left to cap off a 32-point night and an 85-83 win.
Not only did Bryant — who shot 13-of-26 — lead Los Angeles in scoring, but also in assists (nine), rebounds (eight) and steals (four).
With Shaquille O’Neal inactive, Bryant did most of his damage in the third quarter, adding a dozen points to his total.
However the Suns weren’t done. Led by Shawn Marion (18 points, 16 rebounds), they rolled off a 24-15 fourth quarter and tied the game with 11.5 ticks left on a 3-pointer by Tom Gugliotta.
But that simply lit the scene for Bryant to add to his collection of clutch shots.
