Lakers fans found new love for Kobe Bryant on Valentine’s Day, as he turned a seven-point, fourth-quarter Seattle lead into a Lakers victory.
He scored a dozen of his 23 points in the final period to lead Los Angeles to a 92-87 win in Washington.
Bryant also added 10 assists and seven rebounds to counter strong performances from Brent Barry (21 points) and Gary Payton (17 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds).
Bryant hit from 18 feet out to tie the game at 76 and assisted Devean George on his go-ahead 3-pointer with one minute left.
From there, Bryant did it himself, scoring the Lakers’ final four points to ice victory.
