Taurean Prince: Totals four points in preseason opener

The rookie forward didn’t exactly light up the scoreboard in his debut, but was a solid presence on the boards and defensively. Prince figures to see extensive playing time in preseason but currently slots behind starter Kent Bazemore and veteran Thabo Sefolosha for minutes at the three. Also of note is the fact that fellow rookie DeAndre’Bembry, who tallied 12 points in one less minute on the court Thursday, looms behind him on the depth chart. However, given Prince’s excellent size, above-average shooting range and draft position figures to afford him every opportunity for some modest minutes off the bench at a minimum in his rookie campaign.
