Stephen Curry: Sets NBA record with 13 three-pointers in game

After seeing his streak of 157 games with at least one three-pointer come to end in the Warriors’ loss to the Lakers on Friday, Curry began a new streak Monday in emphatic fashion. The 13 treys established a new NBA record, breaking the mark of 12 that Curry had previously shared with Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall. Remarkably, it was the seventh game of Curry’s career with double-digit three-pointers, and by the time his playing days are over, it wouldn’t be surprising if he surpassed Ray Allen’s all-time mark of 2,973 made treys. Curry has followed up his second consecutive MVP season by averaging 26.4 points, 5.9 assists, 4.5 treys, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 32.7 minutes per game over the first seven contests of the new campaign.
