Stat Insights For Thursday’s Slate Of Games

KINGS VS. HEAT

  • In contrasting styles of play, the Kings lead the league in Pace at 103.5 possessions per 48 minutes, while the Heat are 26th in the league at 96.56.
  • Rajon Rondo leads the league with 97.0 touches per game. Rondo has also recorded a league leading 4 triple doubles already this season.
  • Despite Rondo’s numbers, the Kings have a Net Rating of -6.2 when he is on the court, and +1.4 when he sits. On the contrary, the Kings are 9.4 points worse when Demarcus Cousins sits.
  • Although Chris Bosh shot more field goals per game last year, he is putting up a career high 4.6 three pointers per game this year.
  • A contributing factor to the Heat having the best defense in the league is that they hold opponents to shooting 7 percentage points worse than they normally shoot.

 

BUCKS VS. CAVALIERS

  • The Bucks are currently 29th  in Defensive Rating at 106.3 after finishing the 2014-15 season with the second best defensive rating at 99.3.
  • The Bucks have a +10.7 Net Rating when Jabari Parker is on the court and a -9.8 net rating when he is off the court.  This is the highest difference of any Bucks player.
  • LeBron James is scoring a career high 3% of his points in the paint through the first  11 games of the season.
  • Mo Williams currently leads the Cavaliers in passes received per game at 62.5.
  • The last time these teams played on November 14th, the game went to double OT. The Cavs free throw shooting woes continues in that game (2nd to last in FT% at 68.7%) as they shot 17/27 (63.0%) in the game.

WARRIORS VS. CLIPPERS

  • Steph Curry has more pull up jump shot points (149) than the Grizzlies, Heat, 76ers and Bucks.
  • Blake Griffin is leading the Clippers in Usage Percentage at 30.7%.  This is the highest Usage Percentage of his career.
  • Steph Curry is the only player in the 2015-16 season to make 8 three pointers in a game.   He has done this 3 times in his  first 12 games.
