Diana Taurasi entered Sunday evening’s matchup with the Los Angeles Sparks with
a lot more to play for than just a regular-season win. With 14 points, Taurasi
would pass Tina Thompson as the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer.
Taurasi fought through a tough start to eventually tally the historic bucket
late in the second quarter, with Kobe Bryant and his two daughters on hand to
witness the record.
Social media erupted with love, appreciation and admiration for the incredible
career that Taurasi has had. Here are the top reactions from all over the
sporting social sphere.
