Other than LeBron James and occasionally Channing Frye, Smith was the only Cavalier who seemed able to get off his shot against a desperate Raptors squad that turned in its best defensive performance of the series. It’s his third time this postseason he’s come away with 10 or more attempts from three-point range and 20 or more points, but he’s also scored in single digits five times in 11 games which highlights just how inconsistent Smith’s output can be. If Toronto does a good job protecting the paint once again in Game 4 on Monday, Smith will likely be the biggest beneficiary once again.
