Skal Labissiere: Posts 12 points off bench Thursday

The rookie managed a career high in scoring in what was his second-highest
amount of playing time to date. Labissiere is expected to be a beneficiary of
additional opportunity now that DeMarcus Cousins is in New Orleans, and
Thursday’s effort was certainly an encouraging sign with respect to his new
role. While veteran Anthony Tolliver is expected to remain in the starting five
at power forward for the time being, the latter has struggled offensively as of
late, meaning the 6-foot-11 Labissiere could progressively start eating into his
playing time going forward.
