Sixers Support Mighty Writers Event

On July 26, the Sixers proudly supported the efforts of Mighty Writers, a local youth-mentoring organization in their attempt to break a very unique Guinness World Record – to have the most kids complete a writing exercise at the same place and time. Mighty Writers, an organization with a mission to teach young people to think and write clearly, took to the famous Art Museum steps along with over 3,000 “mighty” young writers to complete an exercise on “If I were President…”.

An entertaining opening program was led by Power99’s radio personality, MinaSayWhat. Mina emphasized the importance of reading and writing amongst our youth by continuously stating: “Never stop writing.” The Sixers provided all youth participants with a complimentary ticket to a future Sixers game in celebration of their participation.
