The Sixers were back in the community to celebrate health, wellness and provide encouragement to the youth of Philadelphia! On July 27, the Sixers participated in a fun filled extravaganza at City Hall in collaboration with the Philly Play Initiative and the City of Philadelphia MuralArts Program. Wednesday’s event consisted of a range of interactive activities as well as a performance from the Sixers’ Phlight Squad.

A highlight of the event included the Mural Arts’ first public paint day of the the “Beyond the 76ers” mural to be installed on Broad Street in South Philadelphia. The Sixers themed mural was inspired by 10-year-old Brendan Dougherty Jr.’s submission during the Sixers and Mural Arts contest this previous February.
