With a long shot to stick on the final roster, Napier has played with a sense of urgency over the first pair of exhibitions, averaging 15.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists. The third-year pro is currently fourth on the point guard depth chart behind Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum and Evan Turner, but could conceivably find himself with more playing time than that slotting would indicate if Turner wins the starting small forward job he is currently competing for. However, even with a slight bump up the pecking order, Napier could still find minutes relatively hard to come by considering the usage that Lillard and McCollum have typically been the subject of in the past.
