The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 95-81, in the Orlando Summer League at Amway Center on Tuesday.
Despite the fact that Oklahoma City (2-1) led for the majority of the first half, Charlotte (2-1) really took control in the second half. In fact, the Hornets turned a 10-point deficit into a 20-point lead in a 20-minute stretch spanning between the first and third quarters. Shooting was the difference, as Charlotte hit 48 percent of their shots, while holding Oklahoma City to just 41 percent from the field.
Treveon Graham led the way for Charlotte, as he tallied 19 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Dwayne Bacon finished second on the team, totaling 17 points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals. Kris Joseph led the bench with 12 points and four rebounds.
Vince Hunter recorded a double-double for Oklahoma City, as he amassed 16 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Daniel Hamilton finished with 15 points, three rebounds and seven assists. Marcus Paige accumulated 12 points, three rebounds and six assists.
On deck for Charlotte is a matchup with the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, while the Thunder face the Dallas Mavericks.
