Last Matchup:

The Wolves are 0-2 against the Spurs this season. The last game came on Dec. 28 in San Antonio. San Antonio won 101-95 behind 17 points and 11 rebounds from Kawhi Leonard. Boban Marjanovic led the bench with 17 points in less than 15 minutes. Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker finished with 13 and 12 points, respectively. David West and Patty Mills finished with 11 points each.

Andrew Wiggins led Minnesota with 18 points. Zach LaVine finished with a bench-high 15 points. Karl-Anthony Towns, Tayshaun Prince and Kevin Garnett finished with 10 points each. Towns also added 12 rebounds.

Key Matchup: Karl-Anthony Towns vs. Tim Duncan

The rookie vs. the vet. This, of course, is if Duncan plays. The Spurs have been known to rest players a time or two. 

Despite being 39 years old, Duncan is still very effective, averaging 8.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 25.1 minutes per game.

He’ll go up against a young talent in Towns in a “passing the torch” game. Towns goes into the game averaging 17.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.7 assists while shooting 54.4 percent from the field, 35.6 percent from the 3-point line and 82.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Spurs: No injuries.

Wolves: Nikola Pekovic (foot), Nemanja Bjelica (foot) and Kevin Garnett (knee) are out.
