Key Matchup: Karl-Anthony Towns vs. Steven Adams
Earlier this season, Towns called Adams his toughest matchup. That likely has to do with how gritty Adams is defensively, and he’ll need it against the multi-talented Towns.
Towns is averaging 17.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game while shooting 54.5 percent from the field. In three games against the Thunder, he’s averaging 14 points and 11.7 rebounds.
Adams isn’t much of a threat offensively, averaging 7.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, but he’s on pace for 1.6 defensive win shares this season. We’ll see if Towns can surpass his season averages this time against Adams.
