Australia (82) vs. Dominican Republic (76) (Group L)

2nd Quarter Update: It’s just a 2-pt game at the half as Australia is leading 40-38 behind Chris Goulding’s 11 pts. San Antonio Spur, Patty Mills has missed just one shot en route to his 8-pt, 3-ast half. Andrew Bogut & Aron Baynes have combined for 12 pts and 7 pts. FINAL: Patty Mills kept Australia undefeated in the FIBA World Cup (4-0) and 1-0 in the Second round behind his 19-pt, 9-ast game. 1st Quarter Update: Brazil looks to hang on to their perfect record at the FIBA World Cup but the Czech Republic are looking to get off to a hot start in the Second Round. The Czech Republic lead 20-16 after the first quarter led by Tomas Satoranky’s 7 pts, 6 ast & 4 reb. Brazil is led by former Phoenix Sun Leandro Barbosa’s 7 pts.

2nd Quarter Update: Chicago Bull, Tomas Satoransky has propelled Czech Republic to a 45-32 lead at the half. He is on triple-double watch with 9 pts, 6 ast, 4 reb to go along with 2 stl.

3rd Quarter Update: Tomas Satoransky is having a stellar game and it’s showing in the score. His 17 pts on 6/9 from the field with 7 reb, 6 ast, 3 stl & 2 blk have the Czech Republic leading by 19 heading to the 4th quarter. Leandro Barbosa is the leading scorer for Brazil with 11 pts.

FINAL: The Czech Republic handed Brazil their first loss of the FIBA World Cup. 1st Quarter Update: France is looking to maintain their perfect record at the FIBA World Cup and have gotten off to a hot start here in the Second Round. After the 1st 10 minutes they lead France 26-14 behind Evan Fournier & Nicolas Batum’s combined 16 points. Former Raptor Nando De Colo also contributed 6 pts & 2 ast. Indiana Pacer Domantas Sabonis led Lithuania with 4 pts.

2nd Quarter Update: Evan Fournier and Nando De Colo have powered France to a 10-pt halftime lead behind a combined 29 pts. Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert is on his way to a double-double with 9 pts & 5 reb at the half. Lithuania’s 2 NBA big men of Jonas Valanciunas & Domantas Sabonis have combined for 12 points.

3rd Quarter Update: Lithuania cut into France’s lead just a bit as it’s now just an 8-pt game as we head to the final 10 minutes. Evan Fournier (20), Nando De Colo (15) & Nicolas Batum (12) are all in double figures for France. 1st Quarter Update: At the end of the 1st quarter, the United States leads Greece, 19-17. Boston Celtics players Kemba Walker (2-3 FG) and Jaylen Brown (2-3 FG) each have 5 points for the United States, while 2019 NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks leads Greece with 7 points (3-5  FG) and 2 rebounds thus far.

The United States will take on Brazil in their final game of the Second Round on Monday, while Greece falls to 2-2 and will take on the Czech Republic on Monday for an opportunity to advance to the Quarter-Finals of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019.

New Zealand (111) vs. Japan (81) (Group O)

1st Quarter Update: This one is a high scoring affair after the 1st 10 minutes as they are tied 29-29. Nick Fazekas erupted for 17 pts to lead all scorers. Yuta Watanabe of the Memphis Grizzlies recorded 4 pts in the 1st quarter on a perfect 4/4 from the free throw line.

1st Quarter Update: Canada jumped out to a 31-13 lead after the first quarter behind Kyle Wiltjer’s game-high 8 points. Khem Birch of the Orlando Magic tallied 5 pts in the 1st quarter and Cory Joseph of the Sacramento Kings knocked down his only triple attempt of the game.

2nd Quarter Update: Canada built on their 1st quarter as they hold a 63-35 lead at the half. Cory Joseph is having a solid all around game with 8 pts, 7 ast, 3 reb & 2 stl. Kyle Wiltjer dropped another 8 pts in the 2nd quarter to lead all scorers with 16 at the half. Dar Tucker has 9 pts for Jordan to be their top scorer.

3rd Quarter Update: Canada kept their foot on the gas pedal as their lead climbed to 49 pts after the 3rd quarter. Kyle Wiltjer has knocked down 7 triples helping Canada to their 99-50 lead. Cory Joseph is 2 ast away from a double-double with 11 pts & 8 reb.

FINAL: Canada had their full offensive fire power in effect in this one as they top Jordan 126-71. Former Kentucky Wildcat Kyle Wiltjer finished with a game-high 29 pts on 11/14 shooting and 7 made 3s. Cory Joseph and Khem Birch combined for 18 points as both finished with a +33 or better net rating. Canada improved to 2-2 at the FIBA World Cup and will face Germany in their final Classification Round game. Jordan fell to 0-4 and will meet Senegal as they look for their first win.

Turkey (79) vs. Montenegro (74) (Group O)

1st Quarter Update: Montenegro jumped out to an early lead after the first 10 minutes behind Orlando Magic All-Star Nikola Vucevic’s 12 pts & 3 ast. Cleveland Cavalier Cedi Osman led Turkey with 6 pts.

2nd Quarter Update: Montenegro takes a 37-32 lead into the half behind Nikola Vucevic’s game-high 14 pts. Cedi Osman is powering Turkey behind his 8 pts. Both teams are shooting over 60% from the field in the first 20 minutes.

3rd Quarter Update: Nikola Vucevic continues his strong play in the second half propelling Montenegro out to a 58-49 lead. He’s now up to 18 pts, 5 ast & 5 reb. Cedi Osman & Furkan Korkmaz have combined for 11 pts & 4 reb.

FINAL: Turkey comes from behind in the 4th quarter to even their FIBA World Cup record to 2-2. After trailing for the first 30 minutes, Turkey stormed back behind Cedi Osman’s 19 pts. nikola Vucevic led all scorers with 20 pts. In each of their final games of the Classification Round Turkey will take on New Zealand while Montenegro will face Japan.

Germany (89) vs. Senegal (78) (Group P)

1st Quarter Update: Germany took the lead in a low-scoring first quarter. Maxi Kleber led all scorers with 6 pts & 2 reb.

2nd Quarter Update: The second quarter proved to be more fast-paced as almost double the amount of points were scored. Senegal takes a 37-36 lead in to the half behind former New York Knick, Maurice Ndour’s 6 pts. Daniel Theis & Maxi Kleber have both scored 10 for Germany.

3rd Quarter Update: Dennis Schroder erupted in the 3rd quarter to help Germany pull away. He has tallied 24 pts, 11 reb & 6 reb to power Germany. Daniel Theis & Maxi Kleber have combined for 22 pts as well.

FINAL: Germany improves to 2-2 in the FIBA World Cup with a win over Senegal. Dennis Schroder led all scorers with 24 pts & 12 ast. Germany’s big man combo of Daniel Theis & Maxi Kleber combined for 26 pts & 14 reb in their Classification Round win. Former Knick Maurice Ndour finished with 17 pts for Senegal who will face Jordan in their final Classification Round contest. Germany will take Canada in their final game.
