Kelly spent the first three seasons of his career with the Lakers, but saw action in just 36 games last season, posting averages of 4.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists over 13.1 minutes per outing. He was given a non-guaranteed training camp deal by the Hawks in September, but was unable to crack the final roster and was waived prior to the season. However, the Hawks apparently didn’t like the development of Walter Tavares and opted to release him Monday, which opens up the opportunity to bring back Kelly. Kelly should slot in as depth at both power forward and center, but likely won’t see enough minutes to be deemed fantasy relevant on most nights.
