Westbrook had plenty of motivation heading into the matchup against former running mate Kevin Durant and the same Warriors squad that ousted the Thunder in the Western Conference Finals last spring, but after keeping his team competitive through one quarter, the point guard and his teammates were no match for the well-oiled Golden State machine. He entered the game averaging a league-leading 37.8 points per game, but thanks to a poor shooting night and sitting out much of the fourth quarter for rest, Westbrook finished with a season-low scoring total. Westbrook’s high usage rate still allowed him to collect his fourth double-double in five contests.
