Below is a running diary of the Lakers’ matchup against the Indiana Pacers, with comments drawn from Mike Trudell’s @LakersReporter Twitter account, to ensure you’re covered from start to finish.
First Quarter
Julius Randle hit B2B jumpers, LAL’s first hoops of the evening. He’s continued to work on the J, + his right hand, throughout the season.
Indiana holds an early 17-11 lead after Paul George hit a 3 on a board of a missed free throw. Randle has 5 LAL points.
Nice pocket pass from D’Angelo Russell to a rolling Brandon Bass, who dunked, and Anthony Brown followed w/a 3-pointer to put LAL up 22-21.

Second Quarter
Randle returned and hit another J, reaching 9 points on 4 of 4 FG’s to put LAL up 29-27 midway through the 2nd.
Not a good stretch for LAL, who allow an Indy run (12-2) in which only Russell’s leaner went down for the visitors. Pacers up 39-31.
Kobe finally got a 3 to fall, on his 4th long ball attempt (8 points total), much to the crowd’s liking. Indy’s lead is 46-38.

Third Quarter
Three turnovers in the 1st 4 minutes of the 3rd Q from LAL helped Indy turn their 8-point halftime lead into a 54-40 margin.
Julius Randle has another double-double already, with 10 points and 11 boards, but also has 5 turnovers in typifying some sloppy LAL play.
Scott was up and animated after Pacers up 64-59 due to this 12-0 LAL run. Julius Randle had 17 rebounds last game at San Antonio, and has 15 after 3 Q’s here in Indy.— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) February 9, 2016

Fourth Quarter
B2B 3’s from Bryant and we’re tied. Kobe’s been draining multiple 4th Q 3’s on the regular in the last week (MIN, NOP, again tonight).
Kobe at 3:42: 3; Kobe at 3:03: 3; Kobe at 2:30: 3. That’s NBA , and LAL go from down 4 to up 3.
George drew Clarkson’s foul attempting a 3 and hit all 3 FT’s. LAL’s lead cut to 1 with 1:11 to play.
Indy went to (massive Kobe fan) Paul George again, and it paid off. He got to the rim and finished plus the harm. Indy up 86-84, 38.3 left.
Kobe had a look at a go-ahead 3 after a nice fake, but rimmed out. Monte Ellis got the board, and the ensuing FT’s. Indy up 4, 20.6 left.
That will do it: Kobe and then Nick Young missed 3’s, and George hit 1 of 2 FT’s with 10.8 left to put Indiana up 89-84.
