Running Diary: Lakers at Heat (11/10/15)

First Quarter

Hassan Whiteside’s been a problem for the Lakers early, hitting all 3 of his shots and protecting MIA’s rim to help the Heat go up 15-4.

Williams got Black a dunk, and Clarkson got himself an open jumper with a nice fake to make it a 21-14 Heat lead after MIA went up 11.

Williams hit a 3 to close the 1st Q, LAL down 29-23. Difference in the game so far: O glass. Whiteside has 3 of Miami’s 7, and LAL have 0.

Second Quarter

* @NickSwagyPYoung is on red hot right now, reaching 13 points in the 2nd already, helping LAL take a 38-33 lead. They’d trailed by 11.

Metta World Peace is now 4 of 6 from 3 this season after hitting from the left wing to put LAL up 44-41.

The 2nd 3 from was followed by a tough finish from Clarkson as LAL went up 1 before Bosh’s J gave Miami a 50-49 lead at the half.

Third Quarter

Chris Bosh has all 6 Heat points early in the 3rd Q, with Clarkson, Randle and Russell scoring a bucket apiece for LAL. Heat up 56-55.

for 3 again … Metta is now 6 for 8 on the season from downtown, and pulls LAL within 3 at 63-60. LAL 8 for 12 from downtown.

Miami’s lead is 75-66. Nick Young and from 3 have helped LAL stick around, but the Heat are getting easier buckets especially inside.
