Chris Paul Ruled Out For Game 7

Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul will not play in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals against the Golden State Warriors.

Rockets coach Mike D’Antioni made the announcement less than two hours before tipoff.

“There was just no way,” said D’Antoni.

Paul missed the Rockets’ Game 6 loss to the Warriors because of a right hamstring strain he sustained in the final minutes of Houston’s Game 5 win.

Paul is averaging 21.1 points and 5.8 assists per game during the playoffs.
