Robert Covington: Expects to play in opener

Covington suffered a sprained right ankle in Friday’s preseason finale against Miami, but the ailment doesn’t look to be anything concerning. The team officially lists Covington as “probable,” and at this point all indications are that the three-point-happy wing is trending in the right direction. Assuming he’s officially cleared, Covington is expected to open the year as Philadelphia’s starting small forward.
