Ricky Rubio: ‘Making steady progress,’ but still no timetable

Rubio, who is out indefinitely with a sprained right elbow, didn’t travel with the Timberwolves on their current three-game road trip, which concludes with a back-to-back set Tuesday against the Nets and Wednesday against the Magic. Thibodeau mentioned that the Timberwolves likely won’t have a timetable for Rubio’s return until he’s able to get through some practices, but it’s not guaranteed that the point guard will immediately receive clearance to take contact once the team returns home later this week. So long as Rubio remains sidelined, rookie Kris Dunn will continue to handle starting duties at point guard.
