The Toronto Raptors are finalizing a deal to land Memphis Grizzlies star center Marc Gasol, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Grizzlies reportedly will receive Jonas Valanciunas, Delon Wright, CJ Miles, and a 2024 second-round pick in exchange for Gasol.
The 34-year-old center is averaging 15.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists over 53 games with the Grizzlies this season. Gasol has spent his entire 10-year career with the Grizzlies.
The Raptors (39-16) currently sit in second place in the East. The addition of Gasol should help them keep pace with the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers, who both made moves before Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
