Reports: Jazz’s Mike Conley Returns To NBA Campus

Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley is back in the NBA bubble at the Walt Disney World campus in Orlando and could be back in the lineup by week’s end.

Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Jazz are hoping Conley can clear quarantine and be available to play in Game 3 Friday vs. the Denver Nuggets (4 ET, TNT).

Conley missed Game 1 of the Jazz-Nuggets series because he had left Orlando to head to Columbus, Ohio, for the birth of his son. Conley posted on Instagram Monday night that Elijah Michael Conley was born.

Players who leave the bubble are subject to a quarantine upon their return, though the length won’t be determined until then.

The Jazz started Donovan Mitchell in Conley’s point guard spot and he scored a franchise-record 57 points in the 135-125 overtime loss. Despite Conley’s absence, Utah only amassed 15 turnovers (to Denver’s 23), but had six of them between the start of the fourth quarter and overtime (while Denver had one turnover in the same span).

The 32-year-old Conley is averaging 14.4 points and 4.4 assists in his first season with Utah. He was acquired as part of a deal with Memphis on July 6, 2019.
