Report: Clippers deal Stephenson to Grizzlies for Jeff Green

Two people with knowledge of the deal says the Memphis Grizzlies have traded forward Jeff Green to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for guard Lance Stephenson.

The people say the teams reached agreement on the trade Thursday at the NBA trade deadline. The people spoke to The Associated Press that on condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced.

Green has played 53 games with the Grizzlies this season and is averaging 12.2 points per game with 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists. Stephenson, a guard, has played 43 games with the Clippers this season and is averaging 4.7 points per game. The Grizzlies will be Stephenson’s fourth NBA team since entering the league for the 2010-11 season.
