Ray McCallum: Claims roster spot

McCallum, who played his college ball at Detroit, outplayed Lorenzo Brown in training camp to claim a backup role at point guard. With Reggie Jackson (knee) sidelined to begin the regular season, McCallum will tentatively slot in second on the depth chart behind Ish Smith, though it’s possible the team could add another veteran at the position who could push McCallum down to third in the pecking order.
