R.J. Hunter: Waived by Celtics

Hunter, the team’s No. 28 overall pick in last year’s draft, lost out on the final roster spot to James Young. The team reportedly attempted to move Hunter for a second-round pick, but was unable to. If he clears waivers he will likely find a home in Boston’s D-League affiliate to start the season, but given his size and potential at the shooting guard position, there is a chance he finds himself back in the NBA somewhere down the road.
