As the All-Star starters who led their respective conferences in fan votes during NBA All-Star Voting 2019 presented by Google, James and Antetokounmpo serve as team captains and drafted the All-Star Game rosters from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves in each conference.
In the Feb. 7 draft, Kevin Durant was picked first by James, and Stephen Curry was chosen by Antetokounmpo as his No. 1 pick.

The Western Conference starter pool is James, Golden State’s Curry and Durant, Oklahoma City’s Paul George and the Houston Rockets’ James Harden.
Two-time Kia NBA All-Star MVP Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder and four first-time All-Stars lead the list of 14 players selected by the NBA’s head coaches as reserves for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.

They are joined by Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal, Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin, Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry and Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo.
In addition, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade were named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver as special team roster additions in honor of their extraordinary contributions as iconic NBA champions and beloved ambassadors and in recognition of their All-Star careers.
