Preview: Kings (20-24) at Trail Blazers (20-26)

Following a last second double-overtime loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night, the Kings turn their attention to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Sacramento has won four of its past five road matches and five of six overall.

In the month of January, DeMarcus Cousins has averaged 34.4 points, 13.6 rebounds, three assists, 1.7 steals and a block per game while Rajon Rondo is averaging 13.5 assists and 10.6 points per game. The two’s performances have led the team to a 8-4 January record, with three games remaining in the next six days, starting in Portland.

The Trail Blazers have topped the purple and black once already this season, with three games remaining including Tuesday. The matchup is certainly an important one, as Portland sits just one game back of Sactown in the Western Conference playoff race. The squad will be without Rudy Gay, who left Monday night’s game with a left eye injury.
