Pierce came off the bench, but played more and scored more than starter Lance Stephenson. On the short season, Pierce is also averaging more points per game (7.0) than Stephenson’s 5.5. The Clippers have plenty of depth at small forward between Pierce, Stephenson, Josh Smith, and Wesley Johnson, so the fact that Pierce played more than all of them is a promising sign for the veteran.
