#PHILAfirst: What You Need to Know for Draft Week

When is the draft? For real?  We know you know this.  You have to know this.  June 23rd, 8:00 PM EST, Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Brooklyn? Hmmm. BoltBus to Manhattan, MTA to Atlantic Avenue; I could actually go to this!Indeed you could, and you probably wouldn’t have to shell out too much coin to get there.  As for getting into the building, tickets range in price from $24.50 to $54.50.  But yeah, if you’d like to cheer and scream and support the Sixers and whomever they make the third number one pick in franchise history, then right on!Ok, but if I don’t go, how can I follow along? As far as TV coverage goes, ESPN will broadcast the event live from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.  Air time is 7:00 PM EST.As for social, we’d love to take care of you.  Here’s what we can offer:FacebookInstagramTwitterAnd there’s Snapchat, too.  Just search “Sixers.”Also, if you were one of the proactive 4,000 fans who scored free tickets to the team’s DraftKings Draft Party at Eakins Oval, we’ll see you there on Thursday.  If you’re still hoping to find a way in, be sure to get on the waitlist.Copy.  Let’s get down to what matters the most.  Who will the team actually draft?Going into draft night, the Sixers own the rights to three picks, all of which fall in the first round. Their first pick is the actual first pick, which they secured by winning the NBA Draft Lottery for the second time in team history. The Sixers will also have two other chances to choose in the first round, thanks to a pair of past trades.  Via an August 2014 three-way deal with Cleveland and Minnesota, the Sixers received the Miami Heat’s first-round pick this year, which ended up being number 24.  From a February 2015 transaction with Denver, the Sixers got the 26th overall selection as well. To provide a sense of which players the Sixers could take with their three picks, we consulted a few respected mock drafts.
