NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans Pelicans guard Elfrid Payton underwent successful surgery yesterday on his fractured left fifth finger. The procedure was performed by hand surgeon Dr. Michelle Carlson in New York. Payton is expected to return to play in approximately six weeks.
