Did the low scoring come from just missed shots or is there more to it? “They deserved to win the game. That's the bottom line. We can sit here and talk about a hundred different things but they outplayed us and they deserved to win. I don't know what else needs to be said.”
On Asik not coming back in the game after the first quarter: “They deserved to win the game. They outplayed us. Ok. All the credit should go to them. It shouldn't be anything that we said or did, they played better than we did and they deserved to win.”
On losing to the worst team in the league: “They played harder and they deserved to win the game. That's the bottom line. I don't know what else needs to be said. They outplayed us, so it doesn't matter if they're the worst team or bad team or whatever. They outplayed us and they deserved to win the game.”
On the team's effort: “I'll say it one more time. They outplayed us and they deserved to win the game. I don't know what else needs to be said. So we can dissect it and we can take it apart but at the end of the night, they outplayed us and they deserved to win the game.”
Pelicans Guard Buddy Hield: On the Pelicans' offense: “We weren't moving the ball like we were the past six games. Everything was stagnant. We just have to get more stops on the defensive end and rebound more. The past couple of games we did all that. Dallas wanted the game more than us tonight. We just have to make shots and defend.”
On playing Dallas: “You know they are a good team. You know their tradition. Tradition shows that no matter what team they have, they have a great coach and (Mavericks forward Dirk) Nowitzki. They have great players around them too. They just need to gel together and start playing great. Even though Dirk wasn't there, they are still a great team.”
On needed adjustments: “We just need to go back to what we did in that winning streak- sharing the ball and having movement. Everybody was having fun. We need to get that back flowing. The league now is like you lose two in a row, you need to get back to winning. It's tough to get a win in this league.”
