NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans today announced its roster for the 2016 Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
The Pelicans will hold a mini-camp from July 5-6 at the team’s practice facility in Metairie with media availability following the morning sessions. The team will travel to Las Vegas on July 7 prior to holding its final mini-camp practice at COX Pavilion on the campus of UNLV. New Orleans’ begins the 2016 Samsung NBA Summer League on July 8 against the Los Angeles Lakers, followed by games against the Utah Jazz on July 10 and the Sacramento Kings on July 11 before beginning the single-elimination tournament. All teams participating in the Samsung NBA Summer League are guaranteed to play a minimum of five games. Teams will be seeded following the preliminary round, with the top eight seeds receiving a first-round bye.
ESPN will present all 67 games from Las Vegas across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU and WatchESPN. In total, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will broadcast 25 games, including all four quarterfinal games, both semifinal games and the Championship Game on Monday, July 18 at 8 p.m. CT at the Thomas & Mack Center. Fans can also log on to ESPN3, where all 67 games will be live-streamed.
NBA-TV will also broadcast a full slate of Samsung NBA Summer League action, televising a total of 30 games.
