Patrick Beverley: Facing three-week recovery timetable

Coach Mike D’Antoni estimated Friday that Beverley would likely miss at least 20 games regardless of what treatment method he chose for the sore knee, but Wojnarowski’s report paints a more optimistic outlook for the point guard. Even so, the three-week timetable would put Beverley on course to miss about 10 games, and it’s far from a given that he’ll be ready to go by mid-November, as he’ll still have to regain conditioning after missing all of the preseason. Beverley’s absence theoretically allows Pablo Prigioni and Tyler Ennis to climb up a peg on the depth chart, but there’s a good possibility that backcourt starters Eric Gordon and James Harden will simply take on even more ball-handling responsibilities in the interim.
