USA 100 – France 97

Playing without Tony Parker, France was competitive with USA throughout the game but ultimately fell short as USA improved to a perfect 5-0 in Group Play. Klay Thompson was just 4-26 from the field before today’s game where he poured in 30 points on 7/13 from three-point range and 9/16 from the field. Thompson was on fire in the third quarter when he hit five three-pointers and outscored France 15-10 over a 4 minute stretch.

Kevin Durant had 17 points on a perfect 6/6 from the field to go along with 6 rebounds and Kyrie Irving posted 10 points and 12 assists in the win. Nando De Colo and Thomas Huertel led France with 18 points each in the loss.

Australia ended group play with a convincing defeat of Venezuela. Andrew Bogut led the team with 10 points and six rebounds. Aron Baynes contribued with eight points and seven rebounds. Patty Mills sat for Australia, who finished Group Play with a 4-1 record.
