Croatia 90, Lithuania 81

Things were not looking well for the Croatians early on, but they used an incredible 34-point second quarter to roar past the Lithuanians, and never looked back. Bojan Bogdanovic lead the way with 22, while the young Dario Saric added 18 of his own as Croatia scored an 11-point victory. It moved them to 3-2 in the tournament, and the top of Group B after they won a four-way tiebreaker.

Spain 92, Argentina 73

Spain had a rough start to the tournament in Rio, and as such were facing a must-win game Monday against an Argentinian side who were already safely through to the knockout phase. The status of the two teams was apparent in the match, as Spain always looked the more focused side, cruising to a 19-point victory at the Carioca Arena 1. With the win, Pau Gasol and company advance to the quarterfinals, where their quest for a third straight medal will continue.

Brazil 86, Nigeria 69

Brazil stayed alive with a key win over Nigeria in their final game of group play, knocking Nigeria out of the tournament. With their victory, Brazil can now advance to the medal round if Spain loses later to Argentina.
