Although he probably won’t even practice for another couple of weeks, this marks a step in the right direction for Pekovic to get back into game action. Once he’s ready to play, Pekovic could be a trade candidate for the Timberwolves, as he’ll likely be buried in a frontcourt rotation that also includes Karl-Anthony Towns, Kevin Garnett, and Gorgui Dieng.
