NBPA Announces 90 Percent Of Eligible Players Registered To Vote

Heading into the NBA restart, amid the country’s largest-scale social justice movement in decades, the National Basketball Players Association fought hard to ensure they could leverage their platform to amplify and advance efforts to work toward racial justice.

That included education and activism, and ultimately registering more than 90% — and climbing — of eligible American voters in their membership.

Interviewed on the ABC broadcast during Game 3 of The Finals, NBPA President Chris Paul confirmed the climbing number.

“I’m so proud of our guys,” said the Thunder guard. “Fifteen teams are 100% registered. The bubble has been an unbelievable blessing. Our players continue to do the work, and we’re grateful and we’ll keep working.”
