Turner’s stat line doesn’t jump off the page, but the Pacers were likely just happy to see him on the court after a concussion resulted in him missing the team’s first two preseason contests. It’s expected that the second-year center will see his minutes pick up during what’s left of the exhibition schedule, so he’s not in line to enter the regular season with any restrictions. Turner will be a popular breakout candidate after he averaged 10.7 points and 6.1 rebounds in 25.5 minutes per game in 29 games after the All-Star break as a rookie. Coach Nate McMillan has already named him a starter for the upcoming season.
