Mike Conley: Struggles Thursday vs. Clippers

Coach David Fizdale switched up his starting five for the second straight game
Thursday, inserting James Ennis in place of Chandler Parsons, after he replaced
Tony Allen and JaMychal Green with Andrew Harrison and Brandan Wright the
previous game. Though Conley wasn’t slowed down by the change Monday against
Nets — who hold the NBA’s worst record — he struggled against the
playoff-bound Clippers and the veteran defensive presence of Chris Paul. Conley
has been having a career year, averaging 20.1 points and 6.2 assists across 33.1
minutes per game, but it’s unclear how he’ll deal with this wrench that coach
Fizdale has thrown at him.
