Morris early departure due to the left ankle sprain appeared to have a major
impact in Game 1, as the Celtics erased a 17-point first-half deficit after he
left the game to claim victory in the series opener. Some reports suggest that
Morris could have returned to the court Sunday, but given the longevity of the
series, the Wizards decided it was best to err on the side of caution to ensure
he would be ready for Game 2. Assuming he avoids any setbacks in practice or
shootaround Tuesday, it looks as if Morris will be a full go for Game 2. Prior
to departing Sunday, Morris produced five points (2-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT),
three rebounds and one block in 11 minutes.
