Isaiah Thomas is dealing with a hip injury and has been ruled out for the rest
of the postseason, which allows Smart to jump into the top unit in his place. In
24 starts during the regular season, Smart averaged 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds
and 4.5 assists across 34.1 minutes and he’s expected to again be relied upon
for heavy minutes with Thomas out.
