Marc Gasol: Expected to face minutes restriction

Gasol suffered a bone bruise on his right foot in a preseason matchup with the Rockets last week. While he was healthy enough to play in the team’s exhibition finale Wednesday, Gasol’s minutes will be monitored closely as the regular season kicks off in an effort to prevent a minor issue from turning into something more concerning. Coach David Fizdale did not state how many minutes Gasol will play in Wednesday’s opener against Minnesota, but the fact that he’s under any sort of restriction makes him a fairly risky daily play.
