A week after pulling off a surprising trade on NBA draft day, the Orlando Magic have introduced newly acquired forward Serge Ibaka.
The Magic landed the veteran Ibaka in a trade last week that sent Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilaysova and the rights to Domantas Sabonis, who was taken 11th overall in the draft. Ibaka was out of the country at the time of the trade but spoke with reporters Thursday.
The 6-foot-10 Ibaka gives the Magic a proven inside presence and rim protector they were missing last season.
He averaged 12.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks for a Thunder team that took Golden State to seven games in the Western Conference finals.
