Coach Erik Spoelstra hasn’t announced who will serve as his starting power forward for the season, but considering Babbitt had missed half of the team’s preseason schedule while battling and didn’t have a particularly strong outing in his return, Derrick Williams still looks like the favorite for those duties. Even if that’s the case, Babbitt could still serve as Williams’ top backup, as his 40.3 percent career rate from three-point line makes him a matchup problem for opposing big men.
