Lowry appeared to slip out of his postseason-long shooting slump after producing 36 and 35 points, respectively, in the Raptors’ Games 6 and 7 matchups with the Heat during the second round. However, he reverted to poor form in the series opener versus the Cavaliers, coming up empty from behind the arc while contributing nearly as many turnovers (four) as assists. The Cavaliers have dominated the opposition throughout the postseason, and with one of the Raptors’ best players in Jonas Valanciunas (ankle) uncertain to play in the Eastern Conference Finals, Lowry and backcourt mate DeMar DeRozan will need to play at elite levels for the team to remain competitive in the series.
