LeBron Passes Jerry West Into 19th Place On All-Time Scoring List

LeBron James is good. Like, really, really good. Already one of the all-time greats, James has proven his worth night in and night out for 13 years. Along the way he’s etched his name in history and is already in the “greatest of all-time” conversation.

And Tuesday night he added to a growing list of career achievements.

LeBron passed “The Logo” Jerry West (25,192) for 19th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with a bucket at 3:06 mark in the first quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game against the Detroit Pistons with a hit for three from beyond the arc.

Fans inside the The Palace of Auburn Hills gave James a warm ovation to acknowledge the moment.

James, only 30 years old and still in the prime of his career, is sure to have plenty more of these types of nights through the rest of his career. Next on the list is Reggie Miller at 18th with 25,279 points.

King James still has a ways to go to reach the top of the list, but there’s no reason to believe he won’t continue inching his way up the list, which is topped by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 38,387 points.
