Barbosa logged his highest minutes played since he saw 33 minutes Dec. 11
against the Pelicans. Though the Suns have opted to give heavier minutes to
their younger players, Barbosa and Jared Dudley are still solid parts to coach
Earl Watson’s rotation, despite having Brandon Knight available. It appears that
coach Watson still wants a veteran leader on the floor at all times to help
direct the younger guys, and Barbosa is benefiting from that role, averaging
18.0 minutes per game since the All-Star break. Despite the increased presence
in the rotation, Barbosa is still a largely irrelevant fantasy option in the
majority of formats, as he won’t often rack up any other stats than points.
