Lance Stephenson: Plays 33 minutes Sunday

Though only $100,000 of his one-year, $1.22 million deal with the Pelicans is guaranteed, Stephenson seems to have just about sewn up a roster spot at this point. It was expected that he would compete with Alonzo Gee for one of the available reserve spots on the wing, but it hasn’t been a fair fight, as Stephenson has received 26 minutes per game to Gee’s six minutes per game. Stephenson’s play-making upside would make him an intriguing late-round fantasy target if he were able to see a minutes count on that level once the regular season rolls around, but it’s expected that he’ll settle closer to the 15-to-20 minute range.
